What Makes Our Tours Better
Knowledgable Guides
Tumbesian Birding guides are knowledgeable of all the birding tour sites, the habitat, and the bird species. They work hard to locate as many species as possible during the tour and make the most of it.
Worries-Free Tours
We understand that getting around in a foreign country with a different culture isn't easy. Our English speaking guide will pick you up from your hotel early in the morning, and return you at the end of the tour. We can also stop for lunch in a nearby restaurant.
Exceeding Expectations
We are a privately owned business that genuinely cares about your satisfaction. We truly aim to provide high-quality tours and exceed your expectations. Feel free to contact us with any special requests or questions on birding in Southwest Ecuador.
Why You Can Trust Us
Tumbesian Birding has been conducting tours in Ecuador for the last 11 years. We had the privilege to share our knowledge with many birders along the way, learned from them exactly what they are looking for, and evolved to meet and exceed their expectations.
Whether you are young or old, an experienced birder or just starting out, we know how to provide you with a great birding experience in Ecuador.
A Unique Experience at Every Site
How it Works
We offer birding tours at a variety of sites with different rich habitats, high endemism and a large variety of bird species. Read on their unique properties and view photos on our Tours and Sites page.
On our booking page, you can view our tours calendar and even join other birders. Shortly after booking, We will reach out to confirm the reservation and answer any questions you may have.
Our guide will pick youu up from your hotel on the day of the tour. The best time to begin the tours is at 6 AM. This allows us to enjoy the first activity of the birds in the morning, and make the most out of the day. At noon we stop for lunch in a nearby restaurant, or in the field.
We offer full day (10-12 hours) and half day (5 hours) tours. Following a full day birding tour, your guide will return you to your hotel at about 4 PM - 6 PM, depending on the site. You can find more details in our Tours and Sites page.
